1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

Turnover
The turnover shown in the profit and loss account in respect of building project management and design consultancy represents
amounts invoiced during the year, exclusive of Value Added Tax. Adjustments are made for the recognition of attributable
turnover and profit on contracts based on the estimated stage of completion of those contracts.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

Plant and machinery etc - 25% on cost, 20% on cost and 15% on reducing balance

Stocks
Work in progress is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value.

Cost includes all direct expenditure and an appropriate proportion of fixed and variable overheads.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.

Hire purchase and leasing commitments
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to the profit and loss account on a straight line basis over the period of the lease.

Going concern
The directors have assessed whether the company is a going concern and have considered all available information about the
future and are confident of the company's ability to continue as a going concern.
