The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for:

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

Turnover
Turnover represents net invoiced sales of services, excluding value added tax.

Investment property
Investment Properties are accounted for in accordance with Statement of Standard
Accounting Practice (SSAP 19) 'Accounting for Investment Properties' and are revalued
annually to open market value. Changes in market value are reflected in the revaluation
reserve except where an impairment is deemed to be permanent in which case the loss is
charged directly against the current period's profit and loss.

No depreciation is provided on Investment Properties. This treatment is a departure from
the requirements of the Companies Act 1985 which requires all properties to be depreciated.
However the directors consider these properties are not held for consumption but for their
investment potential and that depreciation would not give a true and fair view.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not
reversed at the balance sheet date.

Exemption from preparing consolidated financial statements
The financial statements contain information about Chapel Properties (Bournemouth) Ltd as
an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent
of a group. The company is exempt under Section 248 of the Companies Act 1985 from the
requirements to prepare consolidated financial statements.

The exceptional item of £96,101 included within the accounts, in the previous year, relates
to compensation received on 13 March 2014 for the misselling of a Vanilla Swap product by
a financial provider.
