1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
Accounting convention:
The financial statements are drawn up on the historical cost basis of accounting.

Basis of accounting:
The financial statements contain information about Amethyst Leasing (Holdings) Limited as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The Company is exempt under section 400 of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirement to prepare consolidated financial statements as it and its subsidiary undertaking is included by full consolidation in the consolidated financial statements of Marks and Spencer Group plc a company registered in England and Wales.

2Fixed assets Investments
Investment in another Group undertaking:
The Company is the holding company of Amethyst Leasing (Properties) Limited, a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales. The Company holds 100% of Amethyst Leasing (Properties) Limited.
