1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

74 St Mark's Road Management Co Ltd is a private company, limited by guarantee , registered in England and
Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company
Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" of Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Service charges
Service charges are charged to the residents each year based on the budgeted expenditure. Any deficit or surplus
arising where the actual expenditure does not equal the budgeted expenditure is reflected in the accounts as a
debtor or creditor and is recovered from, or refunded to, residents in the course of the allowing year.

Maintenance reserve
The company is liable to ensure that certain areas, external to the flats, are kept in good repair and decorative
order. This includes major redecorative work every few years. It has been decided that a separate reserve should
be maintained to cover the expected costs, and appropriations are made from the income and expenditure
account for this purpose.

Taxation
The company is a non-profit making enterprise and surpluses or deficits arising as a result of differences between
service charges levied (based on estimated costs) and actual costs incurred do not fall within the scope of
corporation tax. Tax is payable on investment income only.

5. COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The company is limited by guarantee of members and does not have a share capital. The liability of members is
limited to £1. On winding up of the company, any surplus assets that exist must be transferred to another body or
bodies having objects similar to those of the company.

The company is controlled by the members - residents and owners of flat at 74 St Mark's Road.
