1. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Accounting convention |
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the |
Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015). |
Related party exemption |
The company has taken advantage of exemption, under the terms of Financial Reporting Standard 8 Related |
Party Disclosures, not to disclose related party transactions with wholly owned subsidiaries within the group. |
Turnover |
Turnover represents net invoiced sales of goods, excluding value added tax, except in respect of service contracts |
where turnover is recognised when the company obtains the right to consideration. |
Stocks |
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow |
moving items. |
Foreign currencies |
Transactions in foreign currencies are recorded at the rate ruling the date of the transaction. Monetary assets and |
liabilities denominated in foreign currencies translated at exchange rate ruling at the balance sheet date. All |
differences are taken to the profit and loss account. |

financial statements of Stackpole Europe Limited for the year ended 31st July 2016 which comprise the Profit and Loss |

explanations you have given us. |
