1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

The company is a residential flat management company.

Following the release of TECH 03/11 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, it has been clarified that service charge monies are held under a statutory trust and should not be included as an asset in the financial statements of California Court Residents Association Limited.

These accounts have therefore been prepared on the basis that California Court Residents Association Limited is a dormant company.

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with applicable United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice), which have been applied consistently (except as otherwise stated).
