Outcome 1 Donations made to life change projectsMeasurements: £10000k to 5 local projects including the development and design of a good community held in Barri South Wales over a 9 month period to support mental health post Covid. Supported local women and girls at risk of homelessness via product donations. Supported a local rescue dogs charity and a local charity that improved employability skills of young people. Donations also made from Sports wash products to local projects that supported young people into sport from local deprived areas i.e Port Talbot.Outcome 2 Money spent with Welsh business during 2022Measurements: Supporting and Partnering 10 Welsh Businesses with some form of social impact. Over £80k spent with local Welsh Business. Supporting local employment with 7 new part time previously unemployed staff members and training from local communities includingthose with disabilities and farthest away from employment.Disability employment case study.Outcome 3 Increased Volunteering hours. Measurements 202 recorded hours by volunteers during 2022. Including Sports refereeing at community project, soap making, beach clean at Whitmore Bay Barry and Park run stewarding. 95% of volunteers reported feeling that they are making a difference, adequately supported and engaged in meaningful activities.Outcome 4 Jobs created on National living wage or above.7 new P/T roles created and skills developed locally at Goodsheds. Measurement we are living wage employer supporting flexible working and rewards for staff. Goodwash aim to pay slightly above living wage for all PAYE staff.Outcome 5 Improved mental health and well beingCombined staff and local community projects recorded with 90% of people reporting some form of mental health improvement (Quality of Life questionnaire, Short Form)Outcome 6 Improvements in general waste and recycling.We took part in Welsh Government carbon emissions project and came out in top 8 Welsh businesses for reducing carbon reduction. We are also fully preparing for a b corp status. We have reduced single use plastic 60% of customers either refilling in store or order online. We have continued our landfill reduction project with the South Wales fire service to reduce decommissioned fire hose going to landfill in Wales. We have increased our zero waste offering to beard, shampoo, and soap bars.Outcome 7 Any unexpected outcomes. None
The Goodwash Enterpirse CIC is governed by a board of directors that meet quarterly. We have links with 5 local charities in Wales that improve the lives of animals and people in local communities. We have close links and are members of Social Enterprise UK and Welsh Council of Voluntary Services
The director received a salary of £37,500.
