4. Post balance sheet events

Since the balance sheet date, the number of grant applications has been notably lower, although sailing is amongst the sports now permitted to resume following the coronavirus lockdown. The trustees are in a position to consider such applications as they may receive, but will only make payment of grants on receiving specific assurances that supported activities will definitely go ahead this summer. As at 19th June, the value of the M&G investment had recovered by 8.8% to £84,786 (31st March: £77,898) and this figure will increase further if equity markets in general continue to improve.
