NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS

1 Accounting policies
  The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).
 
2 Investments (fixed assets)
  Fixed asset investments are stated at cost less amounts written off. Provisions are made for any impairment in value.

4 Related party disclosures
  As a subsidiary of SIG plc, the company has taken advantage of the exemption in FRS 8 Related Party Disclosures not to disclose transactions with other members of the group headed by SIG plc.

  The company is a wholly owned subsidiary undertaking of SIG Trading Limited, which is registered in England and Wales. The ultimate parent company is SIG plc, which is registered in England and Wales.

The largest and smallest group in which the financial statements of the company are consolidated is that headed by SIG plc.
