Company activities and impact

In the continued aftermath of the pandemic, we continued to adjust to work with restrictions on the work and supported existing volunteers through Zoom and then, when allowed, with groups again meeting at stations. This is to enhance the station experience with community art work and gardening projects. It involves volunteers of all ages contributing for the benefit of their local area. The adoption of local stations has been made easier with our sponsorship of Community Payback Schemes on stations. We produced a video using young people to help and promote sustainable travel. We also started hosting "Platform' a community rail education scheme employing qualified teachers to deliver in-house workshops in schools and rail familiarisation visits. We continued our work producing innovative passenger way finding at rail and bus stations.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our main stakeholders are Great Western Railway, Cross Country Trains who together with local authorities Bath & N.E.Somerset,Bristol City, North Somerset,Somerset and South Gloucestershire Councils fund and support the partnership and have representatives of Severnside as our Directors. We consult through them and our independent Directors. We also have assistance from West of England Combined Authority. Apart from formal Board meetings, all of the above are in regular contact with our Partnership Manager to plan projects across the area and to liaise with the volunteers.

Directors' remuneration

Our Chairman receives an honorarium of £8079 per annum. No other Director receives any remuneration.

Transfer of assets

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
