1.	STATUTORY INFORMATION

Durham County Football Association Limited is a private company, limited by guarantee , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2.	ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover

Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

Tangible fixed assets and depreciation

Tangible fixed assets other than competition cups are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost less estimated residual value of each asset over its expected useful life, as follows:

15% on Reducing Balance.

Computers

25% on Reducing Balance.

Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits

The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. The assets of the scheme are held separately from those of the company in an independently administered fund. Contributions payable for the year are charged to the profit and loss account.

Grants

Revenue grants are credited to the profit and loss account in the period they are received and are used to finance general activities during that period. These grants are not repayable.

Capital grants are amortised at rates calculated to credit the profit and loss account over the expected useful life of each asset.

Investments

Current asset investments are stated at fair value as quoted by the investment managers.

Operating lease agreements

Operating lease rentals are charged to the Profit and loss Account in equal amounts per period over the rental term.

Such charges aggregated to £2,319 in the year to the Balance Sheet date.

At the Balance Sheet date future commitments in respect of the operating leases ending within one year amounted to £894l and after one year £12,893..
