1Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
These financial statements are prepared under the historic cost convention and in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, Charities Act 2011 and applicable United Kingdom Accounting Standards.
As at 31 March 2013 the activities of St John Wales Patient Transport Services and its assets and liabilities were transferred at book value to the parent company, the Priory for Wales of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem (250523).

Other accounting policies
1. The company has no assets and no liabilities (2013 - none) and consequently no Balance Sheet is presented.
2. The parent company, The Priory for Wales of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, a charity registered in the UK (250523), provides a guarantee for St John Wales Patient Transport Services. Group financial statements are available from Priory House, Beignon Close, Ocean Way, Cardiff CF24 5PB.
