1. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Accounting convention |
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in |
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). |
The company, which contracts with third parties in its own name for the supply of services |
relating to the maintenance of the estate, has no income or expenditure in its own right. |
All transactions in the year relate to maintenance of the common parts in accordance |
with the covenants entered into by freeholders of the houses or lessees of the flats on |
the estate. Income and expenditure arising from these transactions is shown in separate |
Service Charge Accounts that do not form part of the annual statutory accounts and are |
not filed at Companies House. All service charge monies received from the owners of |
the properties are held on trust for the freeholders and lessees, as a body. |
