Chartered Accountant's report to the director on the preparation of the unaudited statutory accounts of Southdowns Recruiting Limited For The Year Ended 31 December 2017
In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, I have prepared for your approval the accounts of Southdowns Recruiting Limited For The Year Ended 31 December 2017 which comprise the Profit and Loss Account, the Balance Sheet and the related notes from the accounting records and from information and explanations you have given to us.
As a practising member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at icaew.com/membershandbook.
This report is made solely to the director of Southdowns Recruiting Limited , as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter dated 08 March 2016. Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the accounts of Southdowns Recruiting Limited and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the director of Southdowns Recruiting Limited , as a body, in this report in accordance with AAF 2/10 as detailed at icaew.com/compilation. 1.
Accounting Policies
1.1.
Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.
1.2.
Turnover
Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company, net of Value Added Tax and trade discounts.
Accrued income is recognised where work has been performed before invoice is issued, measured at portion of work completed as a percentage of sales price.
Deferred income is recognised where invoice has been issued before work carried out, measured at portion of work not done as a percentage of sales price.
1.3.
Intangible Fixed Assets and Amortisation - Other Intangible
Other intangible assets are Franchise payment. It is amortised to profit and loss account over its estimated economic life of 5 years.
1.4.
Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:

1.5.
Deferred Taxation
The charge for taxation takes into account taxation deferred as a result of timing differences between the treatment of certain items for taxation and accounting purposes. In general, deferred taxation is recognised in respect of timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. However, deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that the directors consider that it is more likely than not that there will be suitable taxable profits from which the future reversal of the underlying timing differences can be deducted. Deferred taxation is measured on a non-discounted basis at the tax rates that are expected to apply in periods in which the timing differences reverse, based on tax rates and the law enacted or substantively enacted at the balance sheet date.
1.6.
Registrar Filing Requirements
The company has taken advantage of Companies Act 2006 section 444(1) and opted not to file the profit and loss account, directors report, and notes to the financial statements relating to the profit and loss account. The notes which are not included have been hidden but original note numbering has remained the same for those that are present.

Director
At year end E Cleary owed the company £819 (2016: £2,893) being the balance on her Director's loan account. The loan attracts interest at 0% and is payable on demand.

The company's ultimate controlling party is Emma Cleary by virtue of her ownership of 100% of the issued share capital in the company.
