company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page. |
2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
The functional and presentational currency of the company is pounds sterling. Monetary amounts in these |
financial statements are rounded to the nearest £1, except where otherwise indicated. |
Going concern |
Current liabilities exceed current assets, however, after reviewing the company's forecasts and projections, the |
members have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational |
existence for the foreseeable future. The company therefore continues to adopt the going concern basis in |
preparing its financial statements. |
Significant judgements and estimates |
Estimates and judgements are continually evaluated and are based on historical experience and other factors, |
including expectations of future events that are believed to be reasonable under the circumstances. |
Financial instruments |
Basic financial assets, including trade and other receivables and cash and bank balances are initially recognised |
at transaction price, unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the transaction is measured |
at the present value of the future receipts discounted at a market rate of interest. |
Such assets are subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method. |
Basic financial liabilities including trade and other payables are initially recognised at transaction price, unless |
the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where the debt instrument is measured at the present value of |
the future receipts discounted at a market rate of interest. |
Debt instruments are subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method. |
Taxation |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to |
the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or |
substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |

Deferred tax |
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance |
sheet date. |
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from |
those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that |
have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the |
timing difference. |
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they |
will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
Investments |
Investments are shown at most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in fair |
value is recognised in profit or loss. |
Provision for liabilities |
Provisions are recognised when the group has a present obligation (legal or constructive) as a result of a past |
event, it is probable that the group will be required to settle the obligation, and a reliable estimate can be made of |
the amount of the obligation. |
The amount recognised as a provision is the best estimate of the consideration required to settle the present |
obligation at the end of the reporting period, taking into account the risks and uncertainties surrounding the |
obligation. |
Dividend |
Dividends are recognised as liabilities once they are no longer at the discretion of the company. |
